I turned my back to someone who was very dear to me because I felt cheated,I felt lied,I felt betrayed.My pride was hurt.
If they hurt you for the first time,it may be their fault but the second time its your fault they say.It was my fault I let her cheat me,lie to me and betray me but still I feel guilty now for some odd reason.
I was bottling it up all the time and now,it has finally exploded for good.

I completely agree with you . I will never trust anyone who has betrayed me/tricked me once. Although I may be cordial formally, but inside, when trust is gone once, its gone forever. There are many worthy people on this planet who deserves our love and trust. So, there is no question of re-thinking and making-up with unworthy ones.

oh Dipa, I just went through a very similar situation very recently. Sometimes it is ok to protect yourself and it is not your obligation to educate people on how to have honor and character.
